THE STORY OF YULEFEST

The idea was born three decades ago. Whilst visiting the Blue Mountains a group of Irish travelers suggested that July would be the ideal month to host a Christmas-style festival – a month when the snow was falling all around and Australians could have the traditional Christmas fare of ham or turkey with all the traditional trimmings.

Over thirty years later the Blue Mountains is still the destination of choice to celebrate a cold Christmas (six months early!!). All the accommodation houses and restaurants get behind this tradition.
