One of popular Blackheath atrraction is Grand Canyon Walk. Regarded as the most impressive walking trail in the Blue Mountains, this is a 6km long circular track through lush rain forest with creeks, waterfalls, huge sandstone walls and rock overhangs.

A diversity of rare or threatened species are resided in the Grand Canyon area including the sooty owl, glossy black cockatoo, bush stone curlew, superb parrot, yellow-bellied glider, Blue Mountains water skink and booroolong frog.

Grand Canyon Walk can start at several places, Evans lookout carpark, Neates Glen car park and Grand Canyon Loop track carpark.
